BiG North Florida is an innovative vocational enrichment community designed to help adults with unique abilities discover their strengths, develop meaningful skills, build authentic relationships, and become valued contributors to their communities. We believe meaningful opportunities can transform lives. Our Citizens and staff work side by side, sharing their gifts and talents in service to God and one another. Through our entrepreneurial program, Citizens explore their interests, develop skills, create products, serve others, and experience the pride that comes from meaningful accomplishment.

Our Citizens have become: Artisans. Bakers. Gardeners. Cardmakers. Jewelry makers. Entrepreneurs. Communicators. Leaders. And so much more.

The products created through our program are shared with the community through our gift shop, online store, events, and community partnerships. But what we create is about more than the finished product. It is about the person behind it, confidence, and purpose. It is about learning that your gifts have value. It is about knowing that you have something meaningful to contribute.

Presuming competence is more than a philosophy at BiG North Florida. It is the foundation of everything we do. We believe every individual has the ability to learn, communicate, grow, make choices, and contribute. We recognize the right of every person to effective and accessible communication, and we strive to ensure that every Citizen has the opportunity to be heard. When we presume competence, we create room for possibility. And possibility changes everything.
